SCHOOL  ELECTION   REPORT 2024-25

The election for the student council was held at Shantiniketan Public School on 15 June 2024 the objective of appointing the student council is to provide a platform to the student to develop leadership qualities by organizing and caring out school activities and service projects.

The council election was a two day process. The students from all the houses filled their nominations for various positions representative….. etc.

CAMPAIGNING :- Before an election the students first begin campaigning for their respective post on 14 June 2024. The contenders for the various coveted positions read out their manifestos in the assembly and made attractive posters to convince the students that they are right choice for the position.

POLLING PROCESS :- On the day of election students went to the polling booth to cast their vote. Two polling booth were arranged by the election committee, one for junior section and other for senior section students. The students casted their vote through secret ballot, more than 550 students casted their vote. These election provides an opportunity to the students to witness and exercise their fundamentals rights to vote.

COUNTING OF VOTES AND DECLERATION OF RESULT :- After elections are completed, within three days the election committee started the process of counting votes. This was done under the supervision of the school principal ( officer )

After the toiling of two days of campaigning and casting of votes the much awaited results of Shantiniketan Public School student council selection 2024 – 2025 are declared by the election committee.

We follow The first past the post system – this means whichever candidate gets the maximum number of votes wins.

Heritage Club

Heritage is something that can be passed from one generation to the next, something that can be conserved or inherited and something that has historic or cultural value. Heritage Club is a unit of Shantiniketan Public School, Khanapur which aims to create awareness and cater to the curiosity about vast culture, history and heritage of our nation as well as other heritage cities around the world.

Objective of the club

  • To promote the idea of conservation of heritage through active participation of students.
  • To generate an accessible database on the tangible and intangible heritage of India.
  • To sensitize students about the local culture, traditions and history through visit to heritage sites.
  • To inspire and train students to conduct heritage walks in and around Khanapur.
  • To change typical perception about history and motivate students to be forerunners in conserving their heritage.

The election for the students council was held at Shantiniketan public School on 17th June 2023.
The objective of appointing the student council is to provide a platform to the student to develop leadership qualities by organizing and caring out school activities and service projects. The council election was a two-day process
The students from all the houses filled their nominations for various positions like general secretary ladies representative ….etc. Campaigning:-Before an election the students first begin campaigning for their respective post on 16th June 2023.
The contenders for the various coveted positions read out their manifestos in the assembly and made attractive posters to convince the students that they are right choice for the position.
Polling process:-On the day of the election students went to the polling booth to cast their vote. Two polling booths were arranged by the election committee, one for junior section and another for senior section students. The student casted their vote through secret ballot.More than 450 students and nearly 100 staff members casted their vote.
These elections provided an opportunity to the students to witness and exercise their fundamentals rights to vote. Counting of votes and declaration of result:-After elections are completed within two days the election committee started the process of counting votes. This was done under the supervision of the school principal (returning officer).
After the toiling of two days of campaigning and casting of votes ,the much awaited results of Shantiniketan Public School students council selection 2023-24 are declared by the election committee.
